Cabin Crew Position at Air Arabia
Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew member serves as Air Arabia's ambassador, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image. This role encompasses enhancing the overall customer experience, providing exceptional service to all passengers while ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the complete flight cycle. The Cabin Crew member must be prepared and fit to operate efficiently, adhering to company policies and procedures to maintain productivity levels aligned with established measures.
Key Result Responsibilities
Conduct
- Ensures timely attendance, adheres to proper grooming standards, maintains fitness, and fulfills legal requirements for assigned flights.
- Participates in pre-flight briefings to ensure understanding of flight details, assigned roles, targets, security procedures, boarding protocols, etc.
Safety Measures
- Instructs passengers on safety procedures to be followed, prioritizing their safety and comfort at all times.
- Identifies potential safety and security risks and collaborates with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers when necessary.
- Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
Customer Service
- Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities, accurately entering data into the aircraft log book as per Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures.
- Provides consistent, exceptional customer service by attending to passengers' pre-bookings, requests, and individual needs.
- Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following the guidelines outlined in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
- Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by efficiently promoting on-board meals, products, and charity services, achieving individual and team targets.
- Ensures proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments received for individual sales and donations managed by the Cabin Crew member.
Crosschecking and Reports
- Conducts pre-flight checks to ensure sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified equipment are available before takeoff. Reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as appropriate.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provided before flying.
- Ensures orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Completes post-flight briefing and assessment reports in accordance with adopted policies and procedures. Provides an objective evaluation of the Cabin Supervisor, reports any problems or discrepancies encountered during the flight, and closes and seals duty-free containers.
- Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for the conduct of passengers. Performs the duties of the "Cabin Supervisor" when designated as such by the Captain.
- Maintains professional and safety knowledge and competitiveness by attending recurrent trainings, emergency procedures trainings, educational workshops, and by ensuring current license.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements
- Age: Between 20 to 30 years for candidates without prior experience as Cabin Crew. Up to 33 years for Experienced Cabin Crew.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male)
- Weight: To be proportionate to Age and Height
- Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Medically/Physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties.
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable for this role; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is a plus.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures are an added value.
- Fit to fly, with good general health, no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Language: Must be fluent in Written and Spoken English. Fluency in Arabic is preferred.
Work Experience
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines/Aviation/ or hospitality Industries is considered an added value.
- Active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Capable of working in shift patterns and for extended working hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Possesses the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set KPIs.
