Cabin Crew Training Instructor
Job Purpose
This individual will be responsible for the design and delivery of engaging and informative training courses for Cabin Crew staff. These courses will encompass all aspects of Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring adherence to Air Arabia's stringent quality standards and compliance with ECAA regulations. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining consistency in training delivery while fostering a positive company culture and upholding a professional corporate image.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Development & Delivery: Design and deliver timely and impactful training programs for Cabin Crew. These programs should address operational needs and meet safety and quality benchmarks as outlined in the Air Arabia CSPM. This includes addressing any Cabin Crew performance issues through corrective action.
- Comprehensive Training Facilitation: Provide mandatory Initial, Conversion/Differences, Recurrent, and Refresher Training to both Cabin Crew and Pilots. This includes supervising their progress, evaluating performance, and generating comprehensive reports for management.
- Multifaceted Training Approach: Ensure training programs effectively cover both theoretical and practical aspects of cabin crew duties. Key areas include passenger conduct, fire-fighting procedures, CPR and First Aid, safety protocols, emergency and catering equipment operation, CRM, aircraft type familiarization, and comprehensive security training.
- Post-Flight Procedure Training: Equip Cabin Crew with the knowledge and skills to execute post-flight procedures accurately. This includes training on documentation completion, occurrence reporting, and seamless handover/takeover processes to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
- Leadership Development: Conduct specialized "Leadership" training courses and provide one-on-one coaching sessions to Senior Cabin Crew. Offer continuous guidance and support to inspire and empower senior cabin staff to achieve optimal performance.
- Competency & Licensing: Actively participate in the evaluation of Cabin Crew competency and operational readiness. Maintain meticulous records of license renewal dates to guarantee timely recertification and ensure all certificates are accurately logged.
- Safety Procedure Compliance: Ensure the Cabin Security Procedures Manual (CSPM) is consistently updated, effectively communicated to Cabin Crew, and seamlessly integrated into training courses. This ensures strict adherence to the regulations and procedures set by the CAA and other relevant authorities.
- Safety Communication: Draft, review, and approve the issuance of safety bulletins, ensuring that Cabin Crew are consistently informed about updated content and fully comprehend any implications.
- Audit Support & Documentation: Provide comprehensive support to the training team during internal and external audits. Guarantee the availability, accuracy, and compliance of all function-related documents, reports, attendance records, and other relevant materials in accordance with established standards.
- Assessment Development: Contribute to the creation and continuous improvement of a comprehensive question database used for Cabin Crew selection exams. Ensure all training facilities, equipment, tools, tests, and results adhere to the highest safety and readiness standards.
- Induction Program Support: Provide valuable support to new hires during the Induction Program delivered through the Learning Management System (LMS). Offer guidance, respond to content inquiries, and actively participate in briefing sessions to evaluate Cabin Crew knowledge acquisition.
- Inter-Hub Collaboration & External Training: Deliver training programs to other hubs as required, fostering a unified and standardized approach. Conduct training courses for "Third Parties" according to approved Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and contracts as needed.
- Operational Support: Function as Cabin Supervisor when required by the scheduling department. Conduct observational flights as a checker to maintain a practical understanding of in-flight operations and procedures.
- Curriculum Enhancement: Proactively update both cabin safety and customer service training syllabi and programs to reflect industry best practices and regulatory changes.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Management, Education, or an equivalent field is preferred.
- Relevant training certificates and courses such as "Train the Trainer" and "Instructive Training" are highly advantageous.
- Possession of an appropriate corresponding license is beneficial.
- Training in First Aid is mandatory, with formal certification being a significant asset.
- Proficiency in audio-visual equipment management is essential.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and web search capabilities.
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
Work Experience
- A minimum of one year of experience in the aviation industry, specifically in an Operating Senior Cabin Crew or Customer Service role is essential.
- Comprehensive familiarity with ECAA rules and regulations pertaining to cabin services, licensing, and working procedures is crucial.
- Prior experience as a Training Instructor is a prerequisite.
- Proven experience in conducting First Aid and Airline Safety training is mandatory.
- Extensive experience in planning, designing, and delivering engaging training courses, preferably to Cabin Crew, is required.
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret, assimilate, and articulate complex information clearly and concisely.
- A successful track record of leveraging technical expertise and interpersonal skills to implement new initiatives that align with company objectives.
