Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew Member serves as Air Arabia’s ambassador, striving to achieve customer loyalty and promote a positive corporate image through exceptional customer service. The role requires a commitment to enhancing the overall customer experience while ensuring passenger safety and comfort throughout the complete flight cycle. The Cabin Crew Member is expected to operate efficiently, maintaining productivity in alignment with established measures and company policies and procedures.
Key Result Responsibilities
Conduct:
- Ensure timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and legal compliance for assigned flights.
- Attend pre-flight briefings to acknowledge flight details, distribution of roles, targets, security checks, boarding procedures, and other relevant information.
Safety Measures:
- Instruct passengers on safety procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Identify areas of safety and security risks and collaborate with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial action in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administer first aid to passengers when necessary.
- Promptly inform the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
Customer Service:
- Welcome passengers and assist with boarding formalities, entering necessary data into the aircraft log book as per Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA adopted procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service by attending to passengers' pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
- Identify and assist passengers experiencing stress or difficulties in accordance with established policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
- Contribute to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by efficiently promoting on-board meals, products, and charity services, thereby achieving individual and team targets.
- Ensure proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments received for individual sales and donations managed by the Cabin Crew Member.
Crosschecking and Reports:
- Conduct pre-flight checks to ensure sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified equipment before takeoff. Report any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as appropriate.
- Assist in ensuring the aircraft cabin is cleaned thoroughly at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provided before flying.
- Ensure orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Carry out post-flight briefing and assessment reports as per adopted policies and procedures, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor and reporting any problems or discrepancies encountered during the flight. This includes closing and sealing duty-free containers.
- Account to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct and perform the duties of "Cabin Supervisor" when designated by the Captain.
- Maintain professional and safety knowledge and competitiveness by attending recurrent trainings, emergency procedures trainings, educational workshops, and ensuring current licensing.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements:
- Age: Between 20 to 30 years
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male)
- Weight: To be in proportion to Age and Height
- Clear skin with no marks or tattoos visible while wearing the cabin crew uniform
- Medically/ Physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device
Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages):
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is a plus.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added value.
- Fit to fly, good general health, no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Language: Fluent in written and spoken English.
Work Experience:
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role in the Airlines/Aviation/ or hospitality industries is an added value.
- Active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Capable of working in a shift pattern and for extended working hours.
- Shows high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Demonstrates the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set KPIs.
