Cabin Crew Opportunity with Air Arabia
Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew member serves as a brand ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and upholding a positive corporate image. This role is pivotal in enhancing the overall passenger experience by providing exceptional service, ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the complete flight cycle. Candidates must be prepared and fit to operate efficiently, aligning productivity with established measures and the company's adopted policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct and Preparedness
- Ensures timely attendance, appropriate grooming, and physical fitness for assigned flights, adhering to all regulatory requirements.
- Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to acknowledge flight details, role distribution, targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.
Safety and Security
- Provides clear instructions on safety procedures to passengers, guaranteeing their safety and comfort at all times.
- Identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers as required.
- Promptly reports any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain, as appropriate.
Customer Service Excellence
- Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities, accurately entering necessary data into the aircraft logbook per Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures.
- Delivers consistent, excellent customer service by attending to passengers' pre-bookings, requests, and individual needs.
- Identifies and provides assistance to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following established policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual.
- Maximizes onboard revenue and supports the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting onboard meals, products, and charitable services, contributing to individual and team targets.
- Ensures the secure and proper handling of cash and credit card payments for individual sales and donations.
Operational Support and Reporting
- Conducts pre-flight checks to verify the availability of adequate supplies, emergency equipment, catering, and other specified items prior to takeoff, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain.
- Assists in ensuring the thorough cleaning of the aircraft cabin at transit stations and verifies the adequate provision of re-catering and duty-free products before flights.
- Manages the orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Completes post-flight briefings and assessment reports in accordance with adopted policies and procedures, providing objective evaluations and reporting any flight-related issues or discrepancies.
- Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor regarding passenger conduct and assumes the duties of Cabin Supervisor when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains professional and safety knowledge by participating in recurrent training, emergency procedures training, and educational workshops, ensuring current licensing.
- Contributes to team objectives by achieving allocated sales targets and accomplishing related tasks.
Important Requirements
- Age: 18 to 29 years for candidates without prior cabin crew experience; up to 33 years for experienced cabin crew.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male).
- Weight: Must be in proportion to age and height.
- Appearance: Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Physical Fitness: Medically and physically fit to perform cabin crew duties.
- Swimming Proficiency: Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is an advantage.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is highly valued.
- Must be fit to fly, possess good general health, and have no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Languages: Fluent in written and spoken English is mandatory. Fluency in Arabic is preferred.
Work Experience
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries is considered an asset.
- An active cabin crew license is advantageous.
- Ability to work in shift patterns and extended working hours.
- High flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and demanding schedules.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
