Experienced A320 First Officer (Type Rated)
Job Overview and Purpose
The successful candidate will join a dynamic aviation team, primarily responsible for the safe, secure, and efficient execution of all assigned flights. This pivotal role requires the Pilot to operate the aircraft in strict adherence to the detailed provisions of the Company Operational Manual and in full compliance with all General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) regulations.
The A320 First Officer must ensure ultimate safety, security, and efficiency throughout all operated flights. Responsibilities include providing effective support and guidance to both flight and cabin crews, handling emergencies and ad-hoc scenarios with professionalism, and maintaining control over the flight to ensure successful operational performance and a positive corporate image.
The Pilot is required to fly the aircraft according to given schedules and approved flight plans, acting as the ultimate responsible party for the aircraft during assigned flight duties. The operational priorities must consistently be maintained in the following order: Safety, Operational Efficiency, and Passenger Comfort.
Candidate Eligibility and Selection
Special Consideration Note: Preference will be given to Saudi Nationals who hold a current A320 Type Rating and a valid GACA license. Non-Saudi Nationals who meet all listed requirements and are currently based in a Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) country will also be considered.
Mandatory Experience, Qualifications, and Requirements
- Flight Hours: A verifiable minimum of 750 flying hours logged on the Airbus A320 Family aircraft.
- Licensing: Possession of valid Pilot Licenses, a current Class 1 Medical Certificate, and a valid Instrument Rating (IR). An Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) is strongly preferred.
- English Language Proficiency (ELP): Must hold a valid ELP certification at Level 4 or above.
- Technical Assessment: The applicant must successfully pass all required technical, psychometric, and Medical Fitness Check-up assessments in accordance with stringent Company and GACA standards.
- Training: Essential training in safety and emergency response procedures is mandatory.
- Technology Proficiency: Demonstrable proficiency in Aircraft Systems and standard digital tools, including Microsoft Office applications, Internet usage, and web searching.
- Communication: The candidate must possess very strong English language skills in both written and verbal communication, required for technical report writing, professional presentations, and operational duties.
- Age Limit: Applicants must be a maximum of 50 years old at the time of application submission.
Highly Desirable Attributes
The following experience and qualifications are considered advantageous for the applicant:
- Previous operational experience within a low-cost airline environment.
- A formal qualification in Safety and Emergency Response.
- Training certification in Basic Airport, security procedures, and relevant regulations.
- Completion of Crew Resources Management (CRM) Training.
- Familiarity with IATA principles and standards relating to aviation security.
