A320 First Officer – Dammam, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA)
This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly qualified and safety-focused aviation professional to join a dynamic airline as an A320 First Officer. The successful candidate will be based in Dammam, KSA, operating the A320 Family aircraft and ensuring the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency.
Role Purpose and Overview
The First Officer is entrusted with the critical responsibility of conducting assigned flights in strict accordance with the provisions detailed in the Company Operational Manual and all relevant General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) regulations. The primary objective is to ensure ultimate safety, security, and operational efficiency throughout all assigned flight segments.
The First Officer flies the aircraft according to approved schedules and flight plans, acting as a crucial component of the flight deck team. The incumbent is responsible for supporting the Captain in managing the aircraft, crew, and passengers. Key considerations, in order of priority, are: Safety, Operational Efficiency, and Passenger Comfort.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute flight duties in comprehensive compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory mandates.
- Ensure the ultimate safety and security of the aircraft, crew, cargo, and passengers throughout all flight phases.
- Effectively support and guide the flight and cabin crew, fostering a professional and collaborative environment.
- Manage and resolve emergencies, ad-hoc scenarios, and critical incidents effectively and decisively.
- Contribute to the successful performance of the flight operation while upholding the positive corporate image of the airline.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of aircraft systems and operational readiness.
Essential Qualifications and Requirements
Candidates must demonstrate a proven track record and meet the following mandatory criteria:
- A minimum of 750 flying hours on the Airbus A320 Family aircraft.
- Possession of valid professional licenses, a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate, and a current Instrument Rating (IR).
- Attainment of a valid English Language Proficiency (ELP) certification at or above ICAO Level 4.
- The successful candidate must pass comprehensive technical, psychometric, and Medical Fitness assessments aligned with both Company and GACA standards.
- Age must not exceed 50 years at the time of application.
Desirable Experience and Training
Preference will be given to candidates who possess the following advantageous qualifications:
- An Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) is highly preferred.
- Formal qualification in safety and emergency response procedures.
- Experience operating within a low-cost carrier (LCC) environment is highly desirable.
- Training related to basic airport security procedures and regulations.
- Certification in Crew Resource Management (CRM).
- Familiarity with IATA principles and standards relating to aviation security.
- High proficiency in operating Aircraft systems, alongside competence in Microsoft Office suite, Internet, and web search functions.
- Exceptional proficiency in English, encompassing both written and verbal communication, technical report writing, and presentation skills.
