Aviation Pilot / A320 Family First Officer
Job Summary
The Aviation Pilot is responsible for the safe, secure, and efficient operation of assigned flights, strictly adhering to the Company's Operational Manual and Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations. This pivotal role involves providing leadership and guidance to flight and cabin crew, expertly managing emergencies and unforeseen scenarios, and maintaining absolute command over the flight to ensure successful performance and uphold a positive corporate image. The Pilot operates aircraft between designated destinations according to established schedules and approved flight plans, bearing ultimate responsibility for the aircraft with safety, operational efficiency, and passenger comfort as the paramount priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts assigned flights in strict accordance with the Company Operational Manual and CAA regulations.
- Ensures the ultimate safety, security, and efficiency throughout all operated flights.
- Supports and guides flight and cabin crew members effectively.
- Manages emergencies and ad-hoc scenarios with decisive action and control.
- Assumes overall command of the flight to ensure successful performance and maintain the company’s positive reputation.
- Operates aircraft from one destination to another as per given schedules and approved flight plans.
- Carries out duties with ultimate responsibility for the aircraft, prioritizing safety, efficiency, and passenger comfort in that order.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Appropriate Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL preferred).
- Minimum of 750 flying hours on A320 Family aircraft.
- Possession of valid licenses, a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate, and a valid Instrument Rating (IR).
- Valid English Language Proficiency (ELP) certification at or above Level 4.
- Ability to successfully pass technical, psychometric, and medical fitness check-up assessments for Pilots, adhering to Company and CAA standards.
- Essential training in safety and emergency response; a formal qualification is an advantage.
- Basic training in airport security procedures and regulations is an advantage.
- Crew Resource Management (CRM) training is considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of IATA principles and standards relating to security is an advantage.
- Proficiency in aircraft systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Internet, and Web Search.
- Very strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, including technical report writing and presentations.
- Experience with a low-cost airline is highly desirable but not mandatory.
