Africa World Airlines is seeking experienced Captains to command its EMB145 regional jet operations based in Ghana. The Captain assumes full authority and responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, ensuring the safety of passengers, crew, and cargo throughout their command period.
About the Role
The Captain is responsible for the complete flight cycle, including pre-flight assessments of weather, aircraft serviceability, mass and balance, and emergency equipment. This role demands disciplined execution of company standard operating procedures and checklists, effective command decision-making, and clear direction of the crew and passengers in all situations. The Captain must ensure full compliance with all applicable rules, laws, and regulations.
Requirements

A minimum of 3,000 hours total flying time.

At least 1,000 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC).

A minimum of 2,000 hours on multi-crew turboprop or jet aircraft.

A valid ICAO ATPL with an EMB145 type rating, or a valid Ghana ATPL.

A valid and current Class 1 medical certificate.

Minimum ICAO Level 4 English language proficiency.

A clean incident and accident record.

No criminal history. Non-Ghanaian applicants must provide notarised proof of good conduct from their home country.

A valid passport.

A reference letter from the current or previous employer or civil aviation authority.

Excellent vision, including normal colour vision.
