Aery Aviation | First Officer

Aery Aviation is seeking a qualified First Officer (FO) to operate Learjet aircraft from their Newport News, VA base. This corporate aviation role supports the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of flights under FAA Part 91/135 regulations, adhering to company policies and industry best practices.

About the Role

The Second in Command (SIC) serves as a vital member of the flight crew, assisting the PIC in all aspects of flight planning and execution. This position demands a high degree of professionalism, situational awareness, and effective teamwork. The SIC will operate the aircraft in compliance with all regulations and company procedures, perform essential pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight duties, and maintain constant monitoring of aircraft systems, weather, and air traffic to ensure safe decision-making. Strong communication with the PIC, crew, dispatch, and ground personnel is paramount. The role also includes ensuring aircraft readiness, adhering to the company's Safety Management System (SMS), participating in recurrent training, and providing a professional and discreet service to passengers.

Requirements

• FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Airplane Multi-Engine Land (AMEL)
• FAA First or Second Class Medical Certificate
• Minimum 1,000 hours total flight time
• Minimum 1,000 hours multi-engine flight time
• Instrument rating with demonstrated IFR proficiency
• Ability to successfully pass background checks, drug testing, and PRIA checks
• Valid passport with the ability to travel internationally

Preferred Qualifications

• Learjet type rating (e.g., LR-60, LR-45, LR-35/36)
• Previous Part 91 or Part 135 flight experience
• ATP certificate or ATP-CTP completion
