Role Requirements

Prospective Captains must demonstrate exceptional flying proficiency and meet the following stringent criteria:

• Possession of a valid ICAO Air Transport Pilot License (ATPL)
• A valid Command Type-Rating (B787 Command Type-Rating for Type-Rated candidates; Jet Aircraft Command Type-Rating for Non-Type-Rated candidates)
• A minimum of 6,000 hours total flight time
• At least 4,500 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) time on commercial jet aircraft
• Extensive multi-engine jet aircraft experience with a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) exceeding 65,000kg
• Specific flight experience:
  • 250+ hours PIC, OR
  • 500+ hours Pilot Under Supervision (PUS), OR
  • 180+ hours PIC/PUS combined with 70+ hours PIC
• 200+ hours cross-country flight time, with a minimum of 100 hours as PIC/PUS
• At least 75 hours instrument flight time
• A minimum of 100 hours night flight time
• A current and valid ICAO Class 1 Medical Certificate
• English Language Proficiency (ELP) Level 5 or higher
