Role Summary
This Second-in-Command (SIC) pilot position is responsible for performing all flight duties as assigned by the Pilot in Command (PIC). The role requires adherence to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This opportunity is located in Chesterfield, Missouri, near the Spirit of St. Louis Airport.
About the Role
The Second-in-Command pilot plays a crucial role in ensuring safe and efficient flight operations. Responsibilities include ensuring the aircraft is clean, properly provisioned, and safe for operation. The SIC will prepare the aircraft for flights, study weather conditions, and prepare flight plans, including weight and balance calculations and fuel computations.
Requirements

Thorough knowledge of flight operations.

Willingness to relocate within a 1-hour drive time of Spirit of St. Louis Airport in Chesterfield, MO.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Minimum of 1000+ hours of total flying time.

Minimum of 500+ hours of Pilot in Command (PIC) time.
Qualifications

FAA certified Commercial Pilot Certificate with Single-Engine, Multi-Engine, and Instrument ratings.

ATP Certificate preferred.

Bachelor's degree preferred.

150 hours of Multi-Engine flying time preferred.

Charter or other corporate flight experience preferred.
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift 75 lbs. to a height of 50 inches.

Ability to exert a 5 lbs. pull in a forward/downward motion while seated, simulating oxygen mask access.

Sufficient grip strength to turn knobs while seated.

Ability to exert a 15 lbs. pull and 15 lbs. push from a neutral position while seated, simulating flight control manipulation.

Ability to exert a 15 lbs. push and 15 lbs. pull from a neutral position while seated, simulating throttle manipulation.

Sufficient manual dexterity in both hands to manipulate knobs and toggle switches.
