A Second-in-Command (SIC) pilot is sought to perform assigned flight duties under the direction of the Pilot-in-Command (PIC). This role involves ensuring flight safety and efficiency in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures, operating from Spirit of St. Louis Airport in Chesterfield, MO. The position requires a commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
About the Role

Perform all flight duties as assigned by the PIC.

Adhere to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rules and regulations.

Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and the company's general operations manual.

Comply with customer schedules.

Maintain aircraft safety and operational efficiency.

Ensure the aircraft is kept clean.

Prepare the aircraft for flights, ensuring all necessary provisions are on board.

Study weather conditions and forecasts for departure, route, destination, and alternate airports.

Prepare flight plans, calculate weight and balance, fuel, and performance charts.
Requirements

Thorough knowledge of flight operations.

Willingness to relocate within a 1-hour drive of Spirit of St. Louis Airport in Chesterfield, MO.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

A minimum of 1000 hours of total flying time.

A minimum of 500 hours of Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time.
Qualifications

FAA-certified commercial pilot certificate.

FAA-certified single-engine rating.

FAA-certified multi-engine rating.

FAA-certified instrument rating.

ATP Certificate preferred.

Bachelor's degree preferred.

150 hours of multi-engine flying time preferred.

Charter or other corporate flight experience preferred.
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift 75 lbs. to a height of 50 inches.

Ability to exert a 5 lbs. pull in a forward/downward motion while seated, replicating oxygen mask access.

Sufficient grip strength to turn knobs while seated, replicating center console manipulation.

Ability to exert a 15 lbs. pull and a 15 lbs. push from a neutral position while seated, replicating flight control manipulation.

Ability to exert a 15 lbs. push and a 15 lbs. pull from a neutral position while seated, replicating throttle manipulation.

Sufficient dexterity in both hands to turn knobs and manipulate toggle switches.
