The Opportunity
ASL Airlines Ireland is proactively inviting applications from highly qualified and experienced B737 First Officers for future recruitment opportunities. Key Responsibilities
The First Officer plays a critical role in the flight crew, supporting the Commander and ensuring the highest standards of operational safety and efficiency. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Executing all assigned duties concerning the flight in strict adherence to Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including specific aircraft type procedures, limitations, and performance parameters.
- Actively contributing to and promoting a positive atmosphere that fosters strong understanding and cooperation among all crew members.
- Proactively advising the Commander if, in the First Officer's professional opinion, any aspect of flight preparation may have been overlooked.
- Ensuring the safe navigation of the aircraft by continuously and independently verifying both the geographical position and safe terrain clearance, providing timely advice, information, and assistance to the Commander to enhance the safe and efficient conduct of the flight.
- Seeking and receiving necessary information and explanations from the Commander to effectively fulfill the First Officer's functions.
- Maintaining the highest personal standards of discipline, professional conduct, and appearance as a representative of the Company.
- Supporting the Commander, through exemplary conduct, in the development and maintenance of high standards of professional expertise and morale amongst the crew; ensuring the validity of the operational flight plan and, when necessary, filing the Air Traffic Services Flight Plan with the appropriate Authority, confirming the activation of the correct plan if stored plans are utilized.
Qualifications and Requirements
Prospective candidates for the B737 First Officer position must meet the following essential criteria:
- A minimum of 500 hours total flight time.
- A minimum of 250 hours on CS-25 certified aircraft.
- Possession of a valid EASA License.
- Date of last flight on a B737 aircraft within the last 12 months.
- Demonstrated ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4 or higher.
- Holding a valid EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Entitlement to legally live and work within the European Union.
