ASL also operates ASL Maintenance, a certified EASA Part 145 organization responsible for maintaining its fleet of B747s and B737s.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute flight duties in accordance with Company Standard Operating Procedures, including aircraft type-specific procedures, limitations, and performance, as directed by the Commander.
  • Contribute to fostering a cooperative and understanding environment among crew members.
  • Advise the Commander if, in the First Officer's opinion, any aspect of flight preparation has been overlooked.
  • Ensure the safe navigation of the aircraft, maintaining continuous and independent checks on geographical position and terrain clearance. Provide advice, information, and assistance to the Commander to support safe and efficient flight operations.
  • Seek and receive necessary information and explanations from the Commander to fulfill the First Officer's responsibilities.
  • Maintain high personal standards of discipline, conduct, and appearance as a representative of the Company.
  • Support the Commander through active example in developing and maintaining high standards of professional expertise and morale among the crew. Ensure the validity of the operational flight plan and file the Air Traffic Services Flight Plan with the appropriate Authority when necessary. Verify that the correct stored flight plan has been activated if applicable.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 1000 hours total flight time.
  • Minimum of 500 hours flight time on ATR 42/72 aircraft.
  • Valid ATR Type Rating.
  • ICAO Level 5 English Proficiency.
  • Valid Class One Medical Certificate.
  • No history of accidents or incidents.
  • Possession of a passport enabling worldwide travel.
  • Eligibility to live and work within the European Union.
