General Qualifications
AJet seeks candidates who meet the following mandatory general criteria:
- Must have been born after 01.01.1965.
- Must possess a minimum of high school graduation.
- Must reside at the main base designated by AJet.
- Must maintain a clear disciplinary history; specifically, must not have received any written punishment due to flight failure or flight indiscipline.
- Must not possess a criminal record or criminal archive record.
- Must provide an Incident/Accident Clearance Statement.
- Must not have previously resigned or been terminated from Turkish Airlines Inc. or other affiliated organizations due to indiscipline or contract termination.
Technical Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate advanced technical competency as required for the Pilot-in-Command role:
- Must hold a current and valid Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL(A)) (EASA/FAA/ICAO recognized).
- Must possess a minimum of 500 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on B737 or A320 aircraft types.
- Must have a minimum total flight experience of 4000 hours on aircraft types exceeding 27 tons.
- Must have actively flown within the preceding six months.
- Must hold a current and valid B737 or A320 Type Rating.
- Logbook pages must be fully updated and officially approved.
- Candidates successfully completing the evaluation process must ensure their flight license has a minimum of two months of validity remaining as of the anticipated employment start date.
Language Requirements
- A minimum English proficiency level of ICAO LEVEL 4 is required.
Health Conditions
The employment process requires candidates to satisfy strict aviation medical standards:
Candidates must possess an up-to-date 'Flightworthy' Health Report. On the last day of the assessment process, candidates are required to obtain a report issued by Aviation Medical Centers authorized by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, verifying fitness for flight duties.
Note: Possession of a valid health certificate issued by a DGCA Authorized Aviation Medical Center does not conclude the employment medical examination. The final pre-employment examination conducted by the AJet workplace doctor is essential. The workplace medical team will review past health records and current medical files to determine final suitability for employment.
Expat Pilot Evaluation Process
Only candidates who meet the established criteria will be invited to assessments held in İstanbul. Prior to Phase 1, an online document check confirms candidate suitability.
Phase 1: Screening and Assessment
- Document Check: All required documentation, including logbook, licenses, diploma, and passport, will undergo rigorous verification.
- CRM Group Assessment: Candidates whose documents are approved will proceed to a group assessment designed to evaluate Crew Resource Management (CRM) capabilities.
Phase 2: Technical and Behavioral Evaluation
- Simulator Assessment: Candidates' piloting skills will be tested through a comprehensive simulator session, which includes a pre-flight briefing, the flight assessment, and a post-flight debrief.
- Company Board Interview: The final interview will be conducted by HR Specialists and experienced Captain Pilots. This interview focuses on the candidate's professional background, operational experiences, and technical knowledge.
Phase 3: Final Medical Assessment
- Medical Assessment: Successful candidates will be directed to a designated private hospital for a thorough medical check. All expenses related to this final medical check will be covered by AJet.
