Position Description & Key Responsibilities
The First Officer will be an integral part of ABX Air's operational excellence, responsible for flying a modern fleet of meticulously maintained Boeing 767-200F and 767-300F aircraft on international routes. This demanding role requires a steadfast commitment to safety, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction, serving as a key member of a professional and dedicated flight team.
Comprehensive training will be provided to successful candidates, including advanced instruction for Category III B operations and the attainment of a Boeing 767 type rating with ETOPS (Extended-range Twin-engine Operational Performance Standards) certification. This rigorous training ensures the First Officer is fully prepared for diverse and challenging global aviation environments.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Serving as a First Officer on Boeing 767-200F and 767-300F aircraft for critical global air cargo missions.
Ensuring the safe, efficient, and on-time operation of aircraft in strict accordance with company policies, FAA regulations, and international standards.
Collaborating effectively with the Captain and ground support teams to maintain the highest standards of operational performance and compliance.
Upholding ABX Air's unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction through professional and reliable service delivery.
Actively participating in extensive initial and recurrent training programs, including advanced instrument procedures and ETOPS qualifications.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
Prospective candidates for the Boeing 767 First Officer position must meet the following stringent qualifications:
Possess an Unrestricted FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with an Airline category multi-engine class rating.
Accumulate a minimum of 1,500 hours of total fixed-wing flying time.
Maintain a current FAA First Class Medical certificate.
Be legally authorized to work worldwide without sponsorship.
Hold a current passport with at least one (1) year of remaining validity and no restrictions on international travel.
Possess a valid FCC radio/telephone operator permit.
Demonstrate English proficiency in accordance with ICAO standards, with this proficiency clearly stated on the Airman Certificate.
A college degree is preferred.
