Aviation Professional - Rotary Wing Pilot (Iraq)
AAR, a global leader in providing innovative aerospace solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rotary Wing Pilot to join their Worldwide Aviation Support Services (WASS) program. This challenging and rewarding position offers the opportunity to support the critical mission of the US Department of State Air Wing, playing a vital role in international operations.
About the Role:
Based in Iraq and operating on an 80/40 rotation schedule, the Rotary Wing Pilot will provide essential operational support to the Department of State INL/A program, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of aviation tasks in support of the US Embassy.
Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be responsible for a wide range of aviation duties, including:
- Executing single and multi-ship flight missions, encompassing day, night, and Night Vision Goggle (NVG) operations, primarily under Visual Meteorological Conditions.
- Maintaining NVG currency and Instrument proficiency, ensuring adherence to the highest safety and operational standards.
- Ensuring meticulous compliance with all INL/A Program Directives (PD), Aircrew Training Manuals (ATM), and ATP requirements.
- Conducting thorough pre-flight inspections and preparations, guaranteeing the airworthiness of the aircraft and compliance with all safety regulations.
- Managing cargo and passenger loading, weight and balance calculations, and ensuring the secure and proper transportation of all personnel and equipment.
- Maintaining accurate flight logs, manifests, and discrepancy records, adhering to meticulous documentation standards.
- Supervising crew members, delegating tasks effectively, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all personnel onboard.
- Conducting passenger briefings, providing clear safety instructions and emergency procedures.
- Performing occasional CONUS travel as required, adapting to changing operational demands.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- FAA Commercial and Instrument Airman Certificate Rotorcraft Helicopter.
- FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
- Host nation language proficiency as per contract requirement.
- Minimum of 1,500 total rotary wing flight hours, including 500 hours of turbine engine time.
- NVG qualified with a minimum of 300 hours of NVG experience.
- Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with UH-60 A/L/M, SH-60 Series, MH-60 series, or HH-60 series aircraft.
- Ability to pass a physical screening.
- Passport with at least 18 months of validity remaining.
- Active U.S. Secret Security clearance.
