The Aircraft (H-60) Instructor Pilot will support the standardization of the organization's Aircrew Training Program (ATP). This role involves conducting rotary-wing crew member training, managing flight records via the Air Wing Information System (AWIS), and overseeing compliance with standardization directives. The incumbent will facilitate transition training, proficiency reviews, and flight evaluations in a challenging OCONUS environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Standardization Pilot in administering qualification training, annual proficiency reviews, and flight evaluations.
  • Train and evaluate crew members in single and multi-ship missions, including Day, Night, and Night Vision Goggle (NVG) operations under Visual Meteorological Conditions (VMC).
  • Maintain accurate crew member flight records and manage individual flight training plans.
  • Serve on the INLA Standardization Committee to ensure adherence to technical orders and mission-specific standards.
  • Coordinate flight assignments, including mission planning, weather analysis, and weight/balance preparation.
  • Maintain currency in NVG and instrument proficiency while performing duties as Pilot, Pilot-in-Command, Instructor Pilot, Air Mission Commander, or Flight Lead.
  • Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are updated and current.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • FAA Class II Medical Certificate (or foreign equivalent).
  • FAA Commercial and Instrument Airman’s Certificate for Rotorcraft (or foreign equivalent).
  • FAA CFI/CFII Certificate (or documented U.S. military equivalent).
  • FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
  • Type qualification in UH-60 (A-L-M), SH-60, MH-60, or HH-60 series.
  • Minimum 1,500 total rotary-wing flight hours, including 500 hours of turbine engine time.
  • Minimum 200 hours of instructor or check pilot time in H-60 series aircraft.
  • NVG qualified with at least 300 hours of NVG experience.
  • Minimum 250 hours of flight time in category within the last 5 years.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. MRPT clearance.
  • Spanish language proficiency (Level 2 Listening and Reading/L2-R2).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to pass physical screenings and possess a passport with at least 18 months of validity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • FAA ATP Certificate.
  • 100 hours of flight time in H-60 series aircraft within the previous 24 months.
  • Prior experience developing aviation SOPs, flight manuals, or courseware.
  • Prior military operational experience or experience with the DoS INLA program.
