AAR Corporation has career opportunities for aviation professionals with DHC-8 experience to support our Worldwide Aviation Support Services (WASS) program in an OCONUS, austere location. Qualified candidates must be US Citizens able to obtain a security clearance (preference for cleared candidates). Work is estimated to begin in January 2022.
SUMMARY:
Responsible for conducting crew member training and evaluations, standardization administration, i.e. flight records, AWIS, publications and references. Must be proficient in international flight operations and environments: day, night, and IFR conditions. This is a permanent position based in Malta. Complete fixed wing aircraft (DHC-8) qualification training then travel to Malta. Provide fixed wing operational support for the Department of State INL/A program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Participate in the selection and training process of new crewmembers into the Program.
+ Conduct academic and hands-on performance training and administers evaluations to ensure crewmember proficiency and standardization of training in addition to maintaining individual IATFs and completing AWIS entries.
+ Perform operational checks, routine maintenance, and maintenance test flights to ensure the airworthiness of the fleet.
+ Conduct training and evaluations of fixed wing Maintenance Pilots (MP) and ME’s.
+ Ensure all DHC-8 MP RCMs and ME RCMs are fully integrated into the ATP, train and evaluates MP/ME RCMs in their designated aircraft.
+ Ensure compliance with all Standardization Directives, Aircrew Training Manuals, and ATP requirements.
+ Monitor crewmember proficiency in phases of mission planning and flight operations to ensure compliance with policies and directives.
+ Maintain knowledge of additions and changes to all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and documentation integral to contract operations.
+ Performs routine travel within Afghanistan, elsewhere outside CONUS and also within the CONUS s required.
+ Position requires a U.S. Security Clearance.
+ Performs other aviation duties as assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ FAA Commercial Multi-Engine Land, Instrument Airplane.
+ FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
+ Current FAA Class II Medical certificate.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
+ 1500 total fixed wing flight hours including 500 hours of turbine multi-engine time.
+ 250 hours multi-engine pilot in command.
+ ME applicants require 100 hours of FW maintenance pilot time or prior designation as a military Functional Check Pilot/ Maintenance Test Pilot time.
+ Unrestricted type rating is required and will be obtained before or incident to assignment.
+ As a condition of employment, all candidates must be able to obtain a clearance, pass a physical to deploy, successfully complete a urinalysis and criminal background check and show proof of COVID 19 vaccination PREFERRED:
+ Prior US Military Standardization Pilot.
