Special Missions First Officer (Multi-Engine Turbine) - Shannon, Ireland
2Excel Aviation Ltd, a leading provider of innovative aviation solutions, is seeking experienced and dedicated First Officers to join our growing team. We are expanding our Special Missions division with a new Fixed-Wing Search and Rescue (SAR) service, operating 24/7/365 out of Shannon Airport, Ireland, on behalf of the Irish Coast Guard.
This is a unique and challenging opportunity to contribute to a vital service, operating a King Air 200 aircraft alongside a Captain and a dedicated Sensor Operator. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including the delivery of specialist surveillance missions for the Irish Coast Guard. Responsibilities:
- Execute flight duties as First Officer on the King Air 200 aircraft.
- Assist in the delivery of specialist surveillance tasks for the Irish Coast Guard.
- Contribute to a safe and efficient operation of the SAR service.
- Work collaboratively with the Captain and Sensor Operator to ensure mission success.
- Adhere to all applicable aviation regulations and company policies.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 medical certificate.
- EASA Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with Instrument Rating (IR).
- Minimum 250 total flying hours, including at least 150 PIC, 50 IR, and 5 Night hours.
Desired Qualifications:
- Relevant experience in a similar setting (military, police, coast guard).
- Proven experience in taking a lead pilot/managerial role in a forward operating base.
- Current King Air 200 type rating (highly desirable, but not essential as training will be provided).

Additional Information:
- Applicants must have the right to work in Ireland and be prepared to undergo pre-employment testing, including drug and alcohol screening as well as psychometric testing.
- Successful applicants may be required to undergo training and work from locations other than Shannon during the start-up phase.
- Successful applicants without a current King Air 200 type rating will need to complete initial training. Costs related to training (estimated €20,000) will be subject to a bond for a 2-year period, repayable in the event of resignation. The bond value will decrease by 25% every 6 months during the 2-year period.
