2Excel Aviation is actively recruiting highly experienced and qualified Captains to join its professional flight operations team. This prestigious role is primarily based at Stansted Airport (EGSS). The ideal candidate is a proficient, disciplined aviator capable of operating autonomously within a small team environment.
Essential Professional Qualifications and Licensing
The successful applicant must satisfy the following minimum flight experience and licensing requirements to ensure compliance with operational standards:
- License Requirement: Valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
- Authority: License must be issued by the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
- Medical Certification: Current Class 1 Medical Certificate is mandatory.
- Type Rating: A relevant Type Rating is required upon application.
- Language Proficiency: ICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP) Level 6.
Minimum Flight Time Requirements
Candidates must demonstrate significant command experience, specifically in heavy aircraft categories, meeting the following minimum hour totals:
- Total Flight Time: 6,000 hours
- Pilot-In-Command (PIC) Time: 3,000 hours
- Time on Type: 1,000 hours
- Multi-Engine Time: 3,000 hours
- Jet Time: 3,000 hours
Qualifying Pilot-In-Command (PIC) Experience Threshold:
Applicants must demonstrate 3,000 hours of Pilot-In-Command time on multi-engine aircraft, satisfying one of the two criteria listed below (MTOW denotes Maximum Take-Off Weight):
- 3,000 hours Pilot-In-Command on multi-engine jet aeroplanes with an MTOW of at least 20 metric tonnes, or;
- 3,000 hours Pilot-In-Command on multi-engine turboprop aeroplanes with an MTOW of at least 20 metric tonnes, complemented by 500 hours as co-pilot on jet aeroplanes with an MTOW of at least 20 metric tonnes.
General and Operational Requirements
Beyond technical flight proficiency, 2Excel Aviation requires candidates who meet rigorous operational and logistical standards:
- Possession of a current passport that grants the unrestricted ability to travel worldwide.
- Demonstrated IT literacy, including proficiency with MS Office suites and necessary web-based IT systems.
- A proven capability to work effectively within a small team structure, autonomously, and with minimal direct supervision.
- This operational position is primarily based at Stansted Airport (EGSS). The successful candidate is expected to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the airport.
