Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of multi-engine jet and/or turboprop aircraft in accordance with all regulatory requirements and company procedures. This pivotal role demands a pilot who demonstrates exceptional capability in autonomous work while seamlessly integrating into a small, high-performance team environment. The primary base for this position is Stansted Airport (EGSS).
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
Applicants for this challenging role must demonstrate the following essential qualifications and experience:
- Total Flight Time: A minimum of 6,000 hours.
- Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Time: A minimum of 3,000 hours as Pilot-in-Command.
- In-Type Experience: A minimum of 1,000 hours on type.
- Multi-Engine Experience: A minimum of 3,000 hours on multi-engine aircraft.
- Jet Aircraft Experience: A minimum of 3,000 hours on jet aircraft.
- Specific PIC Experience:
- 3,000 hours Pilot-in-Command on multi-engine jet aeroplanes with a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) of at least 20 metric tonnes, OR
- 3,000 hours Pilot-in-Command on multi-engine turboprop aeroplanes with an MTOW of at least 20 metric tonnes AND 500 hours as co-pilot on jet aeroplanes with an MTOW of at least 20 metric tonnes.
- Type Rating: A current and valid type rating is required.
- Licensing: Possession of a valid UK CAA ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot Licence).
- Medical Certificate: A current Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- English Language Proficiency: ICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP) Level 6.
- Travel Capability: A current passport with unrestricted worldwide travel capability.
- IT Proficiency: Demonstrable IT literacy, including proficiency with MS Office applications and web-based IT systems.
- Teamwork and Autonomy: Capability of working effectively within a small team, autonomously, and with minimal supervision.
Location
This position is primarily based at Stansted Airport (EGSS). Candidates are ideally expected to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the airport.
Desirable Attributes
While not strictly essential, the following attributes would be considered highly advantageous:
- VIP Environment Experience: Demonstrable experience operating within a VIP aviation environment.
- Line Training: Previous experience in Line Training is highly desirable.
